The Fortis travel guide
Questions,
clearly answered.
The details organisers, coaches and families ask about most when planning a sporting journey to Sri Lanka.
Start with the essentials
Every tour is tailored, but the planning process should always feel straightforward. Open a question below for a clear starting point.
01Your itineraryWhat's included in a Fortis-arranged tour?
A confirmed itinerary covers fixtures and venues, coaching clinics where requested, accommodation, transport and transfers, and the safety and compliance planning behind the trip. The exact scope is agreed with the travelling organisation before the tour is confirmed.
02PlanningWhat happens after we submit an enquiry?
We put together fixtures, venues, and a day-by-day plan matched to your team's sport, group size, and travel dates, then send it back for review. From there the itinerary is refined until it fits your team, with logistics handled from airport pickup to the final fixture.
03TimingsHow far in advance should we book?
As early as your planning allows. Fixture and venue availability is confirmed once we know your sport, group size and preferred dates, so earlier enquiries generally have more options — particularly for groups touring during a popular season.
04Your teamIs there a minimum or maximum group size?
Group sizes vary by sport, age group and itinerary. Share your expected numbers in the enquiry form and we'll confirm what is possible for your dates and preferred locations.
05DevelopmentCan you arrange coaching clinics as well as fixtures?
Yes. Coaching clinics can be built into the itinerary alongside fixtures and run with qualified local coaches at dedicated facilities.
06Beyond the gameIs there time for cultural exploration between fixtures?
Free days are built into every itinerary. Cultural excursions, rest-day activities and time to explore beyond the sport are planned around your fixture schedule, not left as an afterthought.
07ChangesWhat if travel dates, fixtures, or logistics need to change?
Contingency planning — including backup venues, alternative accommodation and emergency transport arrangements — is part of how every tour is prepared. Responsibilities and local emergency contacts are agreed with the travelling organisation before departure.
